English for All
Building language foundation
English for All
Kids in cities are exposed to more educational resources. Those in rural areas or under-developed geographic locations, especially those from low-income families, have less access to the active English education in some countries.
We know English is so important for kids to know the world. It does need long-time study and practice for non-native speakers to reach a high speaking level. The pronunciation and idioms of the language address the culture of the people. Once the language is ill-formed, it is difficult to correct.
So, we want to create an English program to help the kids who don’t have the chance to communicate with real native English-speaking people learn to speak in a native way.
All ages are welcome to join our projects to learn English!
Teaching goals:
1st stage: Researching and finding effective teaching methods for non-native speakers. Improving English pronunciation and inspiring learning interest
2nd stage: Intensive improving in fluently speaking, appropriate language feeling, and formal English writing
3rd stage: Developing the ability to participate in debate or writing competition
Teaching environment:
We are trying to create a relaxing environment in which to learn and practice English speaking. We provide the room for them to grow happily and consistently. Inspired teaching is the key element of learning.
Guest native speakers:
They are senior friends and neighbors. They are patient and with life wisdom. They are our guest teachers. This idea carries another philosophy of The Sound Of Sunshine: Weakness to the body, Wisdom of life. This is how we care for our aging group in our community. We believe they have precious value and we can empower them and introduce them to the people who really need them!
